About the Position

University Tire & Auto Service has proudly served the Los Angeles community since 1985. We’re an established, independent automotive repair facility looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who takes pride in doing quality work and wants a long-term home.

We’re not necessarily looking for someone who knows everything. We’re looking for a technician with solid repair skills, good diagnostic ability, a strong work ethic, and the desire to continue learning and growing.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
  • Perform maintenance and repair services efficiently and accurately
  • Conduct thorough vehicle digital inspections
  • Document findings clearly on repair orders
  • Perform quality control inspections
  • Follow manufacturer repair procedures and technical service bulletins
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Work closely with service advisors and fellow technicians

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of automotive repair experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic to intermediate diagnostic skills
  • Experience using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • ASE certifications are a plus, but not required
  • Smog license is a plus, but not required
